- Star 约瑟夫·博洛尼亚 played a character, Bill Bonanno, whose father, Joseph Bonanno (雷夫·瓦朗), had the same first name as his own.
- This 1973 tele-movie was made and broadcast right on the heals of 1972s 教父 (1972). 罪恶世家 (1973) coincidentally shared a word, "father", from that picture's title, whilst the production cast an actor, 萨姆·科波拉, who had the same last name as that movie's director 弗朗西斯·福特·科波拉. Moreover, actor 理查德·卡斯特尔诺 appeared in both movies.
- This made-for-television movie was made and first broadcast about two years after its source non-fiction true crime book of the same name by 盖伊·塔里斯 had been first published in 1971.
