- The Unionville (Ontario) train station seen in the film served passengers until 1991 when a new station was built nearby. It has since been renovated and is being used as a community center as of 2016.
- At one stage, 费雯·丽, 帕德里夏·妮尔 and 阿兰·贝茨 were in the running for the leads.
- Part of a late 1960's cycle of made for the cinema filmed adaptations of stories by D.H. Lawrence. The films include 男狐 (1967), 恋爱中的女人 (1969) and 吉普赛之恋 (1970).
